Want to be a Coach?
Westwood is always looking for enthusiastic and qualified coaches.

Coaches need to be certified. To coach Tyke and Novice, an Initiation Program certification is required. To coach Atom and higher, a Coach Level certification is required. For more details regarding coach certification, see Hockey Alberta under Programs, Coach Development.

Westwood has a policy of reimbursing volunteers for the reasonable costs of coach and other certifications.

Westwood has established a Coach Committee. The Committee has been established to consolidate various coach matters under one committee namely: coach selection; coach mentoring and coach evaluations. The chair of the Coach Committee for 2007 - 2008 is Peter Aiello. Peter is looking for qualified people to help Westwood with coach mentoring. If you are interested, please contact Peter.
